Good cold Tuesday morning! I thought for my first post, I would provide some fact about myself. Whom are some of my favorite authors? Sue Grafton, Patricia Cornwell, Stephen King, John Gresham and Tom Clancy. I can say without a doubt, that Sue Grafton and Patricia Cornwell are by far my two favorite authors of all time.
What kinds of movies do I like? I would say, that I really like thrillers, action, drama’s and comedies. I know that sounds like most categories, however, I am not a big fan of romantic films.
In my younger years, I was a bit of a technology freak and even today I still like to keep up with everything that is new. However, I am not nearly as fanatical as I use to be and I no longer go out and buy the newest and greatest things the moment they are available to buy. I have learned to take a step back and rationalize with myself if it’s something that I really really want. If not, I’m perfectly fine now not buying it.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends or just catching up on my many television shows. As much as I enjoy reading, I am sure that I watch more television than the average person. Let’s just say that at any given time my family has anywhere from 30 to 50 shows ready to be watched on our DVR.
Lastly, my family and I came to Waterville from Riverside California. For those of you not familiar with California, Riverside is in Southern California. It’s located about 45 minutes east of Los Angeles, and 35 minutes west of Palm Springs. In my opinion, we lived in the perfect location for 3 reasons. First, 45 minutes from the mountains and snow skiing. Second, 45 minutes from the beach. Third, and certainly not last, we were 45 minutes from Disneyland.
I look forward to getting to know all of the library patrons as well as the new patrons I hope will join.
