Good Tuesday morning! Well, summer is fast approaching and kids will be getting out of school this week. I know that the summer can be a very busy time for both families and kids. Waterville and Blue Rapids have a host of different activities that go on all summer long. Some of these include KRR, Camp Exploration, baseball, softball, VBS, Swimming, Swim Lessons, Basketball camp and so on.
I do want to remind everyone that starting on Tuesday, June 12th from 10:30am to 11:30am and continuing on every Tuesday at this time through July, the Waterville Library will have a combination story time and music time for kids between the ages of 2-5. I am hoping to have my 16 year old daughter read a story to kids for 15-20 minutes followed up by one of her friends, that is the Valley Heights High School Band bring in the instrument they play to share it with the kids and let them know what instrument they play, the different parts of it, what it sounds like and maybe even play a song…
Also, beginning on Thursday, June 14th from 5:30pm to 6:40pm we will be starting a LEGO Club that will meet every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. All we ask is that all kids who participate be at least 4 years old. The library has all the Lego’s and accessories needed for the kids to come and build what ever their imagination can come up with.
